Complete Description:
- The Digital Accessibility Specialist will support a PSERS accessibility initiative by evaluating, testing, remediating, and creating digital content to ensure compliance with digital accessibility regulations and requirements.
The Specialist will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Evaluate and remediate digital documents (including forms, PDFs, and other formats) to meet guidelines and standards.
- Conduct both manual and automated tests to verify compliance.
- Apply established testing methodologies, including keyboard-only navigation, screen reader testing, and use of other assistive technologies.
- Utilize automated accessibility testing tools, manual testing methodologies (keyboard, screen reader, etc.) and assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS).
- Track and clearly document all testing and remediation processes and results.
- Performs related work as required.
Years of Relevant Experience
- 2 years digital accessibility testing, remediation, and digital content creation.
Preferred Education
- 2-year college degree or equivalent technical study.
Desired working hours:
- 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (30-minute lunch)
