Position Description

- We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale, enterprise-level IT initiatives across infrastructure, cloud transformation, and containerized platforms.

- This role will be responsible for managing complex, cross-functional programs including Kubernetes and container environments and deployments, major infrastructure modernization efforts, and migration of servers and backup systems to cloud-hosted environments.

- The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with deep technical fluency, strong executive presence, and a proven track record of delivering high-impact IT projects on time and within budget in large enterprise environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of major enterprise IT projects, from initiation through closure.

- Manage Kubernetes and containerization initiatives, including platform deployment, modernization, and operational transitions.

- Oversee large-scale infrastructure projects including data center upgrades, network modernization, virtualization, storage, and backup transformations.

- Direct migration of on-premises servers and backup systems to cloud-hosted platforms (e.g. Azure).

- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, risk logs, and status reporting.

- Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, security, DevOps, application teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security standards, and compliance requirements.

- Identify risks, dependencies, and resource constraints; implement mitigation strategies.

- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service delivery performance.

- Provide executive-level reporting and communicate project health, milestones, and impacts.

- Drive adoption of project management best practices and continuous improvement.

           

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 8+ years of progressive project management experience leading enterprise IT initiatives.

- Demonstrated experience managing Kubernetes and container platform implementations (e.g., OpenShift, EKS, AKS, GKE).

- Proven track record delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.

- Experience leading server migrations and enterprise backup solutions to cloud-hosted systems.

- Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and infrastructure modernization.

- Experience managing budgets, resource allocation, and vendor contracts.

- Exceptional stakeholder communication and executive presentation skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

- PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification preferred.

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.

- Experience in regulated or government environments.

- Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation tools.

- Experience with enterprise backup platforms and disaster recovery planning.

- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Planview, or similar.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
