Complete Description:

- We are searching for a quality C# developer to program, maintain code, and .NET solutions for our business. In this role, you will be required to design, write, and maintain C# program code for our future and ongoing projects.

- You will also be required to contribute to design and planning sessions as well as formulate approaches for current coding tasks.

- The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications in C#/Angular/SQL Server.

- Candidates must describe experience with large menu driven business systems, such as claims processing, payroll, medical, or insurance type applications.

- The candidate will be knowledgeable in transferring data between application screens, selecting and scrolling through large amounts of data, add/update/delete order-entry type of transactions, and building new screens and reports.  We do not use API's.

- To ensure success as a C# developer you must have an excellent grasp of C# and the .NET framework, prolific coding abilities, and be able to problem-solve on a daily basis. A top-quality C# developer will be able to handle the creation, maintenance, and further development of .NET applications and programs.

- The Duration of this role will go longer than the current PO. This is a contract to hire role which means the duration of this contract will be for a minimum of 6 months with the possibility of an extension.

- Per the manager, SCB Does not use API's.

 

C# Developer Responsibilities:

- Developing C# .NET solutions for the organization.

- Creating in-house applications using the.NET framework.

- Debugging and maintaining written code (no API's).

- Defining and organizing projects on an ongoing basis.

- Reporting and resolving issues related to .NET projects.

- Identifying and handling technical risks and issues.

- Working in a project team alongside other developers.

- Providing technical support to stakeholders in the organization.

- Reporting on project statuses and developments to senior team members.

- Participating in project meetings with management and other team members.

 

C# Developer Requirements:

- C#, .NET 3.1 (or higher)

- Angular (gRPC would be a plus)

- SQL Server

- Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code

- Knowledge of build and deployment repositories such as Azure Dev Ops or Git Hub.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a C# programmer or developer.

- Knowledge of other coding-languages (COBOL, PHP, C+, Java, Python, Coldfusion, etc.) would be a plus.

- Ability to write clean, easy to understand code.

- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.

- Experience with ColdFusion would be nice to have but not necessary.

- Sound understanding of coding and development processes.

- Experience with working in an agile environment.

 

NOTES FROM THE MANAGER.

This is NOT a telework position and candidate must be able to work in our Richmond, VA office. Since this is a contract to hire position, the candidate must be US citizen or have green card.
