Project Manager 2– OpenGov Implementation

Position Summary

- The Project Manager for the OpenGov Implementation will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of OpenGov software solutions across the organization.

- This role ensures that project milestones are met, stakeholders are aligned, and the implementation remains on schedule, within scope, and compliant with operational requirements.

- The Project Manager will act as the primary liaison between internal departments, OpenGov representatives, and external partners.

- PMP is NOT a requirement for this role.

 

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

- Develop and manage a comprehensive project plan outlining timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and resources.

- Coordinate with OpenGov implementation teams and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, requirements, and expectations.

- Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status updates, and progress reviews.

- Identify risks, issues, and barriers early, and work with stakeholders to resolve them.

 

Implementation Oversight

- Ensure all required data, documentation, and process workflows are prepared for integration into OpenGov.

- Oversee configuration, testing, and validation of OpenGov modules.

- Monitor progress against milestones and adjust plans as needed to ensure timely completion.

- Ensure that internal teams complete assigned tasks and meet their deadlines.

 

Communication & Stakeholder Management

- Serve as the central point of contact for all communication related to the implementation.

- Provide regular project updates to executive leadership, department heads, and OpenGov representatives.

- Facilitate decision-making and ensure clear documentation of changes or scope updates.

 

Training & Adoption

- Coordinate end-user training sessions with OpenGov or internal trainers.

- Ensure staff understand new workflows and system features.

- Support user readiness and promote strong adoption across the organization.

 

Documentation & Reporting

- Develop and maintain project documentation including plans, summaries, meeting notes, and change logs.

- Track project performance and prepare post-implementation evaluation reports.
