Position Summary
- The Scrum Master supports VDOT’s Tolling (E-ZPASS) delivery team by facilitating Agile ceremonies, maintaining team alignment, and ensuring clear visibility into work progress, risks, and priorities.
- This role blends Agile facilitation with hands-on delivery operations including documentation, reporting, DevOps card creation, and cross-team coordination.
- The Scrum Master collaborates regularly with the Development Manager to support execution, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
- The ideal candidate is adaptable, coachable, proactive, and comfortable shifting between facilitation, investigation, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies effectively and consistently.
- Maintain backlogs, work items, and dashboards in Azure DevOps or similar systems.
- Create and refine Azure DevOps cards and supporting documentation.
- Track and report delivery metrics including velocity, burndown, risks, blockers, and project status.
- Document action items, decisions, and status updates.
- Perform appropriate investigation before escalating issues.
- Collaborate regularly with the Development Manager for team alignment.
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities and proposing ideas.
- accuracy and transparency in reporting.
- Assist with dependency coordination across teams.
